Mount Pleasant is a British sitcom that revolves around Lisa, her family, and the locals of Mount Pleasant. The situations that the characters often revolve around relationships, the workplace and infidelity. The situations always take place in the local area, be it the pub, the local cafe, or the office, with life proving never to be as simple as the show's characters would like it to be.

Mount Pleasant first aired on Sky One in 2011, and was praised for its often awkward, distinctly British style of comedy. It was one of only a few comedy series commissioned by Sky One throughout 2011.
