D.I. Kate Bishop and D.I. Jack Armstrong are a pair of detectives who couldn't be more different from each other. Together, they must solve difficult murders, learning to accept each others'differences in the process.

Vexed is a police procedural drama underlined by black humour. DI Bishop is organised and no-nonsense, making her constantly frustrated by DI Armstrong's laziness and laid-back attitude. Nonetheless, the two stand together in solving intricate crimes, which often put a strain on their careers and relationships between them and their loved ones.

Vexed first aired on BBC Two in August 2010. The series was praised for its unique blend of comedy and grisly murder mystery, as well as the performance of Lucy Punch in the role of D.I. Bishop.
